Century Laminates LOOKBOOK

CARE & MAINTENANCE QUICK CARE & MAINTENANCE TIPS Making your laminates continue to look stunning for a long time is both simple and easy. Our laminates are designed to look stunning for years. A few simple procedures will help them stay that way for longer. One question that’s always on a homeowner’s mind is, “After having redecorated my home, how do I take care of the laminates without much hassle?”. It’s easier than you’d think, actually. Usually, all it takes is a swipe of a damp cloth or sponge. Even with just a dry soft cloth, you can ensure that dust doesn’t settle on the surface. CenturyLaminates are built to last and look great for years and years – after all, they are built to resist dirty fingerprints, coffee spills and much more. However, should the rare and inadvertent occasion occur where they need further care, the simple care & maintenance procedures given below are sure to help. Do not place heated surfaces on the laminates, such as frying pans etc. Keep them away from heat generating appliances. For deeper stains, such as coffee or tea, massage the surface with a soft-bristled toothbrush soaked in mild household cleaner or a detergent, until the stain disappears. Only when a stain is severe, cleaning with a paste of baking soda and water, applied with a soft-bristled brush, is recommended. A maximum of 20 strokes should suffice – any more might damage the surface. Sharp objects like knives and keys may cause accidental scratches. Use chopping boards or some other protective surface instead. Do note that acidic or abrasive cleaners are best avoided – they may cause harm. Do not place abrasive steel wool or pads on the surfaces, or even clean with them as they may deposit rust stains or scratch the surface. Wiping with a damp cloth or sponge soaked in mild soap detergent is more than enough to keep the surfaces clean. Harsh chemicals that are found in toilet cleaners can cause permanent damage. If spilled onto a surface, wipe it off immediately and then wash with soapy water and rinse several times. Permanent stains can be caused by dyes, such as those used for hair, textiles and foods. If any should inadvertently spill, please wipe the surface immediately with a dish-washing detergent or an all-purpose cleaner.
